My greatest memory as a kid was "living abroad" with my father in Florida. It was a short period of time. I guess my question is for those who have, or do live on your boat, do you recommend the same boat for cruising and living abroad??

To be honest it depends on person to person. I usually prefer the same boat. It's a different comfort level that you built up while living in your boat. I have a small Kayak which i use too. Plus my buy a small dinghy which serves the purpose.

definitely different boats. The amount of maintenance would be unbearable
