HELP - My first trip to the Bahamas

Destination discussions, itinerary, travel stories and any questions you might have concerning travel.
This is the first time we will be traveling to the Bahamas on our own Boat. Excited ! Anything that i need to know about getting into the Bahamas.. Planning this July, looks like a good time to visit. I was thinking about crossing from Lake Worth? Any thoughts ?
wow that's nice. I'm sure it'l be fun. Don't forget extra batteries. Here's what we do. You could avoid to leave from Lake Worth. The Fort Pierce inlet is a good one instead. July is usually HOT .. but you can expect some breeze. I prefer May and June for Bahamas. There is a radio net that cruisers will chime into. It will give the weather forecast and navigation info. I think it is 8:00 am on channel 69. Have a great trip
You will need a yellow flag for quarantine and a Bahamas courtesy flag too. Abaco's are a great part of the Bahamas. You have protected water, blue water, lots of little settlements. Happy Sailing
Prepare a ditch bag.The Navionics charts have many more tide stations than the Garmin charts. Make sure you aircon systems are in great shape. And bring spares for them.
@Teena - Yes i know it's not the best what we are free in the month of July. Fort Pierce is one of the options too. Thanks
@Adam- Ditch bag! something I forgot about.. Thanks Bud. My AC systems are original to the boat and I'm not sure what shape they are in actually. They cool the boat well is all I can say.
@Simon- Yes both flags !

Thanks all :) Appreciate all the help
