Contributing up South East Greenland and finding no diesel available would put a damper on the excursion! If you know about any ports suitable in July/August on the SE corner of Greenland, I would be appreciative for your data. Thankful for your help.

Every summer I enjoy to boat with my family. Next year we want to try boating with it around the world. Probably, we will go to a country such as Canada or Mexico. Do I need any documents? Let me know if you know anything about that.

Bob Bitchin of Cruising Outpost (creator of Latitudes & Attitudes) is bringing back his popular "Share the Sail" events. The magazine charters boats in a beautiful cruising area and fans/readers from all over get a stateroom (single or double occupancy) and spend a week having lots of fun. The flotilla is starting out with a Nordic Tug 54 and a DeFever 48 in addition to a couple of 50-foot Beneteaus. Bob and Jody will probably be on the NT54. My wife and I will be leading the flotilla aboard our boat. Definite stops include Sucia Island and Friday Harbor, with Stuart Island, Rosario Resort or Eastsound possibilities.

The cruise will end in Anacortes at Cap Sante Marina for the 16th Annual PNW Cruisers Party, which is free for anyone to attend. Cruising Outpost sponsors the party (including the beer!), and the last time we were in Anacortes we had around 75 local boats and about 500 people at the music/dance.

Here's a link for information, which includes a "special episode" of Latitudes & Attitudes I made from our last Share the Sail event in the San Juan Islands in 2010 (it never aired): Share The Sail - Cruising Outpost Magazine

When I was making the TV show we went on these Share the Sails in really cool places like Tonga, the BVI, New Zealand, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and they really are a lot of fun. BUT, it helps if you're a social person and like to meet new friends and discover new places to cruise.

If you've always wanted to see what the Pacific NW and the San Juans in particular are like, this would be a fun way to do it!

Now let's go one step further. Do you keep a cruise log when you are cruising? If yes how often are you writing down new entry, every 30min, every hour, more? And what are you logging? Position? fuel? weather observation? Anything else?

Regards,

Mitch

Asian ports of call -- from Indonesia to China, Thailand and Myanmar (Burma) -- come before an in-depth investigation of India. The voyage ends with visits to the Middle East, Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Canada before ending back in Miami on July 6.

There's a few that are available in my area that are at a pretty good price (compared to diesel trawlers of the same year and shape)

I'm looking to do some over nights up some rivers, anchoring in coves and make trips to Baltimore and Annapolis. I know I would have to keep an eye on the weather, I know the bay can get nasty, but I'm not trying to make trips when the swell is 1ft or less!
